Catch the Next Wave in Radio
HD Radio is a new service that broadcasts high-definition radio programming using digital technology. Think of it this way–what HDTV did for TV, HD Radio does for radio. HD Radio broadcasts on the AM and FM bands, and does not require a subscription to receive. It does, however, require an HD Radio tuner since its signals cannot be received on conventional analog AM/FM tuners.

Right now there are about 2,000 radio stations broadcasting using digital HD Radio technology in the U.S. All you need to enjoy them is an appropriate Clarion source unit and THD300 HD Radio Module.

Multi-Casting Capable
HD Radio broadcasts can include multiple channels on the same frequency, which is called multicasting. With multicasting, you can receive up to three additional multicast channels for each station, with different programming. The THD300 lets you take advantage.

iTunes Tagging
iTunes Tagging allows listeners to “tag” songs heard on the HD Radio Receiver. Tagging saves the song’s title and metadata to a connected iPod. When the iPod is synced to iTunes, a playlist is HD Radio Station generated with links to the iTunes Store where the song can be purchased and downloaded.

Compatibility
The THD300 is compatible with the Clarion CZ500, CZ300, and VZ300 receivers. Note: iTunes tagging is not supported for the VZ300.

Clarion OHM875VD 8-Inch Overhead Monitor with DVD Player Customer Review

I have had Clarion car audio in the past, but have never owned or seen the Clarion overhead DVD players/monitor.

In the beginning I researched overhead DVD players/monitors ranging from, Jenson, Audiovox, Insignia, and Clarion. The Jenson, Audiovox, and Insignia all looked and felt very cheap. I had also read reviews that many of the Audiovox players would break or just stop working after a few weeks. The picture quality of Jenson, Audiovox, Insignia just did not compare to the Clarion. Due to this and the reviews I have seen on the other 3 players led to my decision to purchase the Clarion.

I picked up my Clarion OHM875VD for 9 @ Frys electronics. The installers did an excellant job installing the DVD player into my Crew Cab Silverado. I do recommend purchasing the additional hardwired FM Modulator. This will allow the DVD players sound to be directly heard through your car/truck radio speakers and is close to CD sound quality. Much better than using a cheap wireless FM modulator. Overall with installation, the FM modulator, and DVD player ended up costing me around 0.

Clarion CMD6 Marine CD/MP3/WMA Receiver with USB Port Customer Review

Waited a long time to get a receiver with all the new features (USB, iPOD, multi file support, etc.) available to the car stereo market but the wait was worth it. The receiver has worked flawlessly for the past month that I’ve owned it. Feature packed and well constructed, I would recommend to anyone looking for an advanced receiver.

The only issue has been in the availability of the remote (MW1), which is still at the time of this review not available. This has proven to be a real hassle and a source of frustration. It would have been nice if Clarion would have made everything available at the time of release and BEFORE the start of boating season.
